As many of you know--Informed by Nature has a new meetup happening this weekend! It's a panel discussion on the topic "The Medicalization of Race" at the California Science Center this Saturday--we're all attending the discussion separately, but meeting at a table out back afterwards.
As the panel finishes, keep in mind a few things that still puzzle you, and bring them up in conversation. Maybe you need clarification on a certain point or want to know more about a certain topic. I have a feeling we will all have differing science backgrounds, so feel free to ask questions and have fun!
PS--im trying to get the experts to come say hello to our group, so don't miss that!
Informed by Nature organizes group trips to cool science events in the LA area. Whether its a star party at the Griffith Park Observatory, a talk at JPL, or a first Friday social event at the Natural History Museum, we meet up and go together, as a collection of people who love science, and often go out for a drink or coffee afterward. Ultimately, we hope to create a social community that emphasizes raising consciousness to the magnificence of the natural world and supporting the science that drives human progress.
