Thanks Cori for hosting the winter gardening meetup today. Here's the website I mentioned for everyone to see. According to a section on their website, they can install 100% your organic gardening, with raised beds. Check it out: http://thegrowinghome.net/

Hi Jeffrey, I do not think grubbies are necessary, casual clothes will probably be fine, I do prefer people to leave their shoes in the entry way though :)

    October 11, 2012

It looks like Rancho at 4:00pm :). What date works best for everyone? Oct 13th, Oct 21st, or Oct 27th?

    October 10, 2012

    • Cori

Hi Tosca, all three dates work for me.

I am a newbie, but i thought I would chime in. Rancho Cucamonga is more convenient for me. Perhaps flip a coin?

Both places sound like great places for workshop on winter gardening. I just got my first the catalog in and I'm already looking at new trees to plant for next year. :-) would love to try garlic this time.

Hi Tosca, Viva La Vegan & Goodwins Organics sounds good too, I've never been to either. The Cori Chateau in Rancho Cucamonga is open as well, whatever everyone decides on if fine with me.

    October 6, 2012

  • Tosca

Cori, lol! I just saw your post! Yeah! That would be great!! We can save the other locations for different things. I'll be there! I'm looking forward to it :).

    October 6, 2012

  • Tosca

What about Viva La Vegan? I talked the owner and he's happy to have us get together there. Another one of my fav places is Goodwins Organics. They have such a comfortable lounge area. What location is best for everyone? Rancho Cucamonga? Or Riverside?

WOW I'm amazed that so many are on this topic. I have always planted winter vegies. I have Wax beans, snow peas, brussels sprouts in. Waiting for a little cooler days for the beets, turnips and carrots.

    October 2, 2012

  • Kaisenji

Oh wow! I don't know how to get this one started! I just think we should have something about winter gardening be it at someone's home or perhaps a location someone can suggest? So.Calif doesn't exactly have a winter all the time (save for higher elevations) but when we do get cool, we all still like to grow something. Anyone got a suggestion or place perhaps?
