Guided Meditation - for Inner Balance, Connection and Quieting the Mind

Every third Tuesday of the month, INNER BALANCE offers a free evening of gentle yoga opening, breath awareness and a guided meditation - with some silent sitting.  Each session is unique.  The sessions are organic - there is no rigid structure, and a sense of peace, community and deep restoration is typically felt by everyone.

Ellen, a licensed therapist, is an experienced meditation teacher, and she includes teachings from many traditions in her guided meditations. From time to time we have guest instructors.  Laurie Garber-Amram, also a licensed therapist and certified yoga instructor, often guides the introductory (warm-up) movement exercises.

    We did a guided chakra balancing meditation, followed by a self-forgiveness meditation. We also discussed mindfulness meditation techniques (vipassana) and the tendencies toward sleep. It was another gentle, loving evening - respectful, kind and peaceful.
