Yes, KPCC is a great example of an institution embracing social media, the Internet and interactive. And a model for other institutions here in Pasadena (like Beckman - which begins every presentation with the "requisite" turn off your cameras and cell phones). KPCC now encourages people to tweet, FB, etc. at their forums. And their thoughtful new media expansion is most inspiring. Wish I had thought to ask Jason to also mention the community / citizens as news resources program they have started, because it is another wonderful example of the interactive world they are helping to build. Thank you for another great presentation!

A powerful story of embracing the Internet well told, turning disruption into expansion. Every industry can learn from KPCC's example.

I attended KPCC's launch party for the app (thanks for the tip, Andy) where they installed a preview build for me - not only one of the best apps of its kind, but a key part of a strong vision for KPCC's future growth. Looking forward to Jason's talk.

Richard, I have the app too (got it installed at the KPCC's launch party), and it's a great news app that I find very useful. Thanks KPCC tech team!
