TEDx is making its debut in Gramercy, New York City. Six speakers present their take on how “old ways” can move seamlessly into the realm of our digital new world. You’ll ponder:

• How can momentum help us realize new ideas?
• How do freedom of expression, security and privacy translate in our information age?
• Can old-fashioned game mechanics serve the needs of big business?
• Can we collaborate, innovate and create in the Meta-verse?
• What does classic literature have to do with your latest Powerpoint deck?
• What is the Hipster Effect?

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGramercy, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGramercy event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
