What is the State of Manufacturing®?
For the sixth year in a row, Enterprise Minnesota and its key strategic partners are releasing the results of an in-depth, statistically significant survey of the perceptions and opinions of over 400 Minnesota manufacturing executives. The
survey is accompanied by up to 15 focus groups, comprised of executives, managers, and thought leaders revealing their thoughts on the economy and other major issues impacting their ability to do business.
Why does Enterprise Minnesota conduct the survey?
First introduced in 2009, The State of Manufacturing® is a statistically meaningful survey of manufacturing executives that provides the industry, and stakeholders of manufacturing, a comprehensive view of their perceptions and opinions about the issues, challenges, and opportunities that manufacturers face in doing business in Minnesota.
The results of the survey have become the go-to resource for state and federal policy makers, economic development officials, business leaders, and educators looking to better understand how manufacturers feel about our current business landscape.
Who conducts the survey?
The State of Manufacturing® survey is conducted by the Alexandria, VA-based polling firm Public Opinion Strategies, the same firm that conducts the NBC/Wall Street Journal polls.
When will the results be released?
Enterprise Minnesota will release the results of The State of Manufacturing® survey on Thursday, May 8 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
This important event is open to manufacturers and everyone connected to the manufacturing industry including educators, elected officials, economic development professionals, granting agencies and members of the media. The event will feature a presentation by the pollster, Rob Autry, partner, Public Opinion Strategies, and a manufacturing panel discussion of the survey issues.
