Become aware of "the box" so that we can think outside of it. We will talk about tools and exercises that we could use to think creatively and how we can use these in our jobs, hobbies and other endeavors.
From ABC to breaking stuff up, using humor and colorful hats, give your neurons a jolt of fresh energy.
Wow!... as of 2:15PM Friday there are 11 people in the waiting list. Sadly, Diesel table is not big enough to fit more than 18 people (actually 16 is a better fit).
I will schedule this same event on a future date if there is enough interest, and it appears that there is.
This was really good! Thanks to Jorge and all who made it a compelling and fun discussion!
For the tinkerers in the group, if you don't know MAKE, check it out: http://makezine.com
and Maker Faire http://makerfaire.com
.
There's also a Cambridge group and a bigger group in Providence: http://makerfaireri.com
.
For general cool creative exposure, I love Pecha Kucha, which is a blast in Providence (again, bigger, and messier-fun) and also exists in Cambridge: http://www.pecha-kucha.org
.
Thank you everyone for your participation, there was way too much material to cover; I hope everyone got something out of it and had a good time as well.
Thanks to Paula for the Mandala. I took the liberty to scan it and put it up on my website so you can download and print at your leisure: http://www.alienbrothers.com/Mandala.jpg![]()

We will do more like this in the future.
Now here's a creative table:

Can someone add a waiting list? Also, based on the last 2 events I attended, my sense is that in the summertime, last-minute cancellations may be more common than at other times. Maybe a slightly larger attendance allowance, like 22 or so, would be OK?
