Talking about TED: Now-ist

What is safecast?

Why is using a compass more important than having a map?

What is the difference between
learning and education?

Let's have a discussion about some of the ideas raised in TED Talks.

To attend this meetup, you MUST watch the TED Talk listed below, plus one other talk of your choice. Come prepared to talk about both. Tell the group what impressed you about the talk you chose to watch.

Please DO NOT sign up for this event if you are not willing to watch 2 TED talks.

Great presentation. However I wonder why he didn't consider his group a Non Government Organization (NGO)? I'm afraid he has a very narrow idea of the label, because from what I've seen, and from what I know of NGOs around the world, his group would definitely be considered an NGO. And just like NGOs were primarily responsible for the achievements of the UN's Millennium Development Goals, so too NGOs (especially his type of group) will be responsible for the achievements of the UN's Sustainability Development Goals for the years 2015 and beyond.

I had no idea there was another way of doing this. I've always worked from the now-est direction. Sounds like agile development.
