I have an inquistive mind so this seems like a good choice.

What are your expectations from the group?

To have thought-provoking discussions with friendly, intelligent people.

Tell us something about yourself.

I always wanted to be a nuclear physicist but went into computer science instead. Still interested in science. Am a faithful reader of Scientific American and Discover.

We are constantly looking for ideas for discussion topics. Do you have any suggestions?

What type of events/activities you will be interested in?

Discussions based on a topic that is announced in advance.

What Richard is saying about this Meetup Group

I have always liked the events to which IM has alerted me but the Friday DC discussions are clearly what I had in mind when I joined the group and I find them the most interesting part of IM.

Are you driving to Mt. Cannon Saturday? I'm hoping to share a ride -- I'm in Somerville and I know Mynetta is leaving from exit 2 in NH, but if you're leaving from the Cambridge area & have room, I'd love to meet you (somewhere convenient for you) instead of driving up to NH....thanks! Wanda
