Introduction
I am an opinionated, compulsive reading, scientist/business person, who would love to meet with other diverse individuals who think it is fun to have intense debates on challenging subjects. I live in the 'burbs and -- 'nuff said :)
What are your expectations from the group?
To meet others who think working the mind is good fun, and not "geeky". Out here in the 'burbs, it is hard to meet diverse people with opinions and intellectual curiosity. It's killing me!
Tell us something about yourself.
I am a newly single mom of two teenagers, and am looking to meet new people with like and unlike minds. A city girl trapped out here in the boonies till my kids finish school, I want to expand my horizons, so to speak.
We are constantly looking for ideas for discussion topics. Do you have any suggestions?
Modern living, relationships in today's changing world, global perspectives political and otherwise, economic policies, parenting and raising individual thinkers in a conformist society.
What type of events/activities you will be interested in?
I am up for most types of events and activities.

I have been divorced for one year, and a therapist...so I think you have a great idea! I don't need therapy group, I do that for a living:)
I can't afford to do out eating with strangers either...I save that for special occasions! Meeting at a coffee shop, or going to a forest to hike, and staying active help. It would be nice to have people to do that with! I am from Minnesota, lived here 3 years. I am a sailor and love to teach sailing

Welcome Anita.A pleasure to meet you. Where were you when I was naming the group. I think rural burbs all inclusive may have been a better fit. It would definitely have been a less exclusive name for an all inclusive group theme.
