The state of the film industry in Squamish

  • Jan 24, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • West Coast Railway Heritage Park

We will have a panel of experts and a round table discussion on the film industry in Squamish. We'd like to make some recommendations to the District of Squamish on what they are doing right and how they could change things to do it better. Some possible questions would be:

  • What is working well now?
  • What doesn't work for the film industry?
  • What doesn't work for residents and businesses affected by filming?
  • How could we make it better for both groups?
  • Would a film commission help?
  • If it would who would run it and fund it?
  • What is the current economic impact of filming in Squamish?
  • ????????

Bring your questions and suggestions. If you know people in the industry get them out to the meetup.

As a producer and actor, I'm very interested idn seeing what happens with the Squamish Film industry. More importantly, I'd like to be a part of growing it. Let me know if I can help.
