The purpose of this Group is to meet others in person and explore what Houston has to offer besides bars and dance clubs. There is so much culture, attractions, activities, restaurants, festivals, fine art events we -- CULTURE VULTURES -- want to venture beyond the Happy Hour zombified event.

7 to 10 Events Every week ! -Among them: Art Galleries Openings, Museums, Theater Plays, Film screenings, Performing Arts, Classical Music performances, Jazz , Blues and other music performances, Dining Out, Poetry Readings, Weekend Festivals and many, many more Fine Arts and Performing Arts Events.
WHAT YOU WILL NEVER, EVER FIND IN OUR CALENDAR:
Happy Hours, Salsa dancing, Singles Mixers.
AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK, we have FREE GIVEAWAYS courtesy of our Sponsors, no purchase necessary, no membership dues to pay, just show up to Events.
A CLEAR AND CLOSE UP FACE PICTURE is required to be a Member of the Group.
If you choose to become a CULTURE VULTURE, you agree to attend at least one event every three months. We have more than 30 events every month so this is not an outrageous request.
We are NOT INTERESTED in a large number of Members, but rather in forming a strong Fellowship of Active Members. As such, we are THE ONLY GROUP on Meetup whose Members are all active.
THERE ARE NO MEMBERSHIP FEES, EVER. Running a group with Meet Up is a mere $3.00 a week - cheaper than a cup of coffee. AND -FYI- with a paid membership an Organizer can have up to three groups for the same price.
