Instagram Meetups Everywhere

GF_NYC is glad to announce after the successful launch of @GF_NYC (part of GF-Worldwide) on July 4th, 2012 we will be holding our third NYC InstaMeet taking place at Governors Island. We would like to invite other local Instagrammers to join us while exploring the wonderful scenery Governors Island has to offer.

*SPECIAL NOTE:
1. The group will leave on the first ferry to Governors Island at 10:00am from Manhattan.

2. Please arrive 20-25 minutes early due to Ferry security checkpoint.

3. The group will meet at the top of the hill once you leave the Ferry.

Activities for the day:

* Guided walking tour of Castle Williams Rooftop – 10:30am By National Park Ranger (30 Minutes)

* Guided walking tour of the National Monument – 11:25am By National Park Ranger (45-60 Minutes)

* Shuttle ride to Southern part of the Island for more photo ops and exploration.

* Photo app sharing & edit tips

* Photo opportunity of Governors Island Swim event - Optional

*Bike riding – Optional

Directions:
Governors Island is accessible only via 10-minute ferry ride, with regular ferry service from Manhattan and Brooklyn. The Governors Island Ferry from Manhattan is located in the Battery Maritime Building, Slip #7, while the ferry from Brooklyn is located at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Battery Maritime Building is a large green building and is located southeast of the Staten Island Ferry terminal. During the season (May 26 - September 30), the building is adorned with blue Governors Island flags.
