Part 2 of our exploration of the lesser-known parts of the City of London. We will start at The Lakeside Terrace at The Barbican (which was the end point for Part 1) and the walk will include Bunhill Fields, some city alleyways and courtyards and the beautiful St Dunstan's in The East.
The rough plan is:
1pm meet on the Lakeside Terrace at Barbican - time to explore if people want to
1.45 / 2pm - set off on the route to Whitecross Street (street art) and Bunhill Fields (old burial ground)
After Bunhill Fields, there is an opportunity to visit the John Wesley house and museum (he founded the Methodist church) - entry is free (donations are welcome though)
Through the streets of the city, exploring some alleyways, courtyards and passages
Opportunity to take in the view of St Paul's from the top of the One New Change shopping centre (if people want to do this) (also free of charge)
Walk past Cannon Street, the London Stone and the Monument (the more energetic can climb this - entry fee applies) and on to St Dunstan's in the East.
Matt (@mattdelmar) is kindly designing a route map for the day so you won't get lost!
