Holotropic Breathwork™ offers an approach to self-exploration, transformation, and healing using breath and evocative music to access non-ordinary states of consciousness. Coined by Stanislav Grof from the Greek holos (whole) and trepein (moving in the direction of something), the term holotropic describes a particular group of non-ordinary states of awareness that foster the intrinsic movement of the body/psyche toward wholeness.

By activating the unconscious and mobilizing blocked energies, Holotropic Breathwork allows access to all levels of human experience. Participants have discovered that the process can sometimes facilitate a dramatic release of blocked feelings and memories, thereby promoting new levels of mind-body integration.

Join certified Holotropic Breathwork practitioners Pam Stockton, LPC, and Mark Ryan, Ph.D., for an exploration of this healing path. The evening’s presentation will include a mini-session of breathwork and music, affording participants a glimpse of the full workshop experience.

A weekend Holotropic Breathwork workshop will take place in Houston on Friday evening, June 21 and Saturday June 22, 2013. For additional information, presenter bios, and registration information for the upcoming workshop, visit:

I'm bogged here at work and at home. I'm sorry I won't be able to make it. Thanks for the reminder note so I didn't waste docs, Cheryl! Look forward to seeing y'all more.

Is this an introduction then to the breathwork? And what would we need to bring? Thank you, Shelly

Yes. Please bring a towel to lay on, and if you wish, a blanket to cover you. And please rsvp as soon as possible, as facilitators wish to prepare handouts and need a count.
