Can profitable, sustainable businesses be built around healthy, local food? The answer is yes, but current business models don’t support it. To make your food business work, you need two things: a healthy local food business ecosystem and a better model for creating and nurturing local food related businesses. On Nov 25 at 6:30 PM we will discuss how to work together to build a vibrant local food community in Houston based on cutting-edge rapid-results business design within a collaborative structure. Forget the old models that tell you it can’t work. Come and examine better models that say it will work.
This meeting is a follow up to our Sept 23 session on the Business of Local Food from an Integral Viewpoint. We will discuss applying Integral Theory to our local food system and the formation of local food co-operatives, local growers and small farmers and commercial community gardens. We will discuss how to set up a sophisticated network (MeshWORKS™) around this important purpose to address the overarching goal of sustainable local food.
