Reminder: Thursday, August 2nd at 6:30 Nancy Gordon, PhD, Psychoneuroimmunology

Nancy Gordon, PhD, Psychoneuroimmunology

Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) is the study of the interaction between psychological processes and the nervous and immune systems of the human body.

We had 70 people attend Nancy's last talk so please be sure to sign up early as we only have 50 spots available at Harvest Moon Grill!

She will be speaking about her new book!  It's called The Guiding Philosophy for the Future of Healthcare and can be purchased on Amazon.

"The time has come for us to create a new lens through which we view health and healing. One that allows us to apply a more holistic approach to healthcare—one that is built on the concept that the body-mind-spirit is one thing—fully connected. We must shift our focus from treatment to prevention in a way that puts each one of us back in the driver’s seat of our own health and well-being. This shift will happen only when we clearly understand how to use our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs as tools to help create health and wellness. The time has come when we must broaden the scope of Western medicine to incorporate this concept into how we provide and participate in healthcare."  Nancy Gordon, PhD

Excellent presentation by Dr. Gordon. I couldn't agree more with what she said. I make it a point to education my hypnosis clients about what role their emotions, thoughts, feelings, words and self-talk play in the process of getting better. We need to create more awareness and Dr. Gordon couldn't have done a better job conveying that. It's about taking responsibility, not playing victim or blaming others.

I thought Nancy Gordon had a brilliant message; she should be required training for all medical personnel in our “sick care” minded country. It was exciting to see so many practitioners attending her lecture.
