Business Talk and Networking Event. Get More Clients With Less Effort

This is our first event in our new amazing venue. We are lucky enough to get to use "The Exchange, which is an amazing place and comes complete with a restaurant and rooftop bar.

After Patrick's presentation, there will ample opportunity to network and enjoy a few drinks on our amazing Rooftop Terrace that overlooks the London skyline.

At this event, we will have a presentation by Patrick Powers on "How to Get More Clients with Less Effort".

Patrick Powers started his first business at 21 and went bankrupt really fast. In that process he lost his home, his car... everything. After that experience he got "a bit" risk averse and began his quest for ways to start a business with little or no risk.

Finally... 10 years ago he got his act together. He started his first successful business for £200 and retired a year later at 36. Since then he has been travelling the world enjoying the lifestyle and teaching marketing and persuasion strategies.

He also started www.EntrepreneursInLondon.co.ukwith just £70. This has now grown into London's biggest entrepreneurial Meetup with over 5000 members and growing about 100 people a week.

Don't let greedy bankers and investors decide your future. Don't let your dreams be stranded because you think you need a bunch of money to start.

This is for the people who are saying "next year I'll start my business". Or I'll start my business WHEN I get the funding. Well... we all know that day will never come for most people.

But with what you learn on this training it could be THIS week  - even tomorrow (well the day AFTER the training of course)

Nice idea for dinner and networking event. Maybe pass on the feedback re chairs to the venue. I am sure they would like to know. Just invite them to sit on them for a few minutes, that will do the trick :-)

Really enjoyed the talk last night, for the very first time someone has delivered a business talk without swamping it with cliches and jargon.
Well organised and nicely paced, loved the venue too.
    Need more loos though.

Great venue (chairs not so comfy), fab food. For £10 I will definitely eat there again. Good talk, informative. - thank you Patrick and Matt for finding such a fab venue!

Hey guys. Would people here be interested in having a private dinner/networking event at either the restaurant last night or somewhere else? So there wouldn't be a talk, just a chance to eat and network with like minded people.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Really useful information and advice from Patrick delivered efficiently and swiftly. The venue is pretty funky. (The chairs in the place were instruments of torture though. I know I am not the only one who thinks that, as I heard loads of people saying so afterwards.) The meal deal is really fab so thanks Matt once again for coming up trumps. It is a great way to get people there early and mingling. Will look forward to future events, though may book an appointment with the osteopath or maybe bring my own camp chair :-) Thanks again Matt and also Patrick for an excellent talk.

AH ok I didn't know about the chairs. Apart from the venue buying new ones we can look at taking breaks. I suppose not everything is going to be perfect.

OK then, who's up for eating? I've booked myself in for 6.30.

  • Matt K.

Hey guys. A few people have said they want to eat before the event but don't want to eat alone. Why not arrange to meet someone by posting a message here? If you are going to eat, then please let the restaurant know in advance. All the details are on the site http://theexchange.so/rooftop

    March 19, 2013

  • Matt K.

    Hey guys

I am super excited about our new venue. I have been working with the amazing directors there and they have very kindly made an offer to the attendees of a special £10 meal deal (meal and drink) before the talk.

I am going to fully confirm the running times for this event but it is highly likely for the seminar itself to run from 7:30 - 9pm. So this gives people chance to arrive early and eat.

If you want more information on the Rooftop Restaurant , click here http://www.theexchange.so/rooftop. I would book in advance so there is space for you and let them know you are coming to Interesting Talks.

We will be using the restaurant after the event for networking and good old drinking ;)

Hey guys. This is going to be an amazing event. The new venue is superb and there is a restaurant and bar for us to use. The managers are send over sample menus shortly.

Also I am going to make an offer. If you come and join us for a drink and network afterwards, then I will send out a small advert/offer about you to the whole group (that is over 3000 people). After this event I will send out an email with all the special offers from everyone. You could make some serious sales from it.

I will explain fully next week.
