Announcing a new Meetup for Washington International and Independent Cinema!

What: Me and Orson Welles

When: December 11,[masked]:00 PM

Landmark E-Street Cinema
555 11th St NW
Washington, DC 20004

Let's meet at the top of the escalator in the main lobby at 6:30 pm. After the movie, we'll go to the Asia Nine restaurant. If you cannot make it to the movie, you are still welcome to join us for the social part.

In a romantic coming-of-age story set in the heady world of New York theatre, Zac Efron plays Richard Samuels, a teenage student who lucks his way into a minor role in the 1937 Mercury Theatre production of Julius Caesar, as it's being re-imagined by a brilliant, impetuous 22-year-old genius named Orson Welles (Christian McKay). The rollercoaster week leading up to opening night has the charismatic-but-sometimes-cruel Welles staking his career on this risky production while Richard mixes with everyone from starlets to stagehands in behind-the-scenes adventures bound to change him. Co-starring Claire Danes and Ben Chaplin. Directed by Richard Linklater (Before Sunset, School of Rock).
