International Potluck

It's been a long time since we had an International potluck. For now, I have selected Balboa Park at quince st. off Balboa drive (the one way entrance that begins at Upas) There is a grassy area there that can accommodate a large group. Quince is a one way out of the park so you have to drive down starting at Upas. Once you cross Quince we will be on the left side.

  • Please bring an international dish to share with everyone including utensils to serve. Since this is a picnic style potluck, finger foods would be best. If you have extra plates/ silverware that you can bring for the event, it will be greatly appreciated. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on. If you would like to be environmentally friendly, bring your own plates and forks.

  • I believe there is no alcohol allowed at the park, so bring some drinks to share. We will bring a cooler with ice, and if a few others can do the same that will help keep our drinks cool. If you are able to decide early, let us know what you will be bringing.

I agree about the cold - I should have remembered to bring sweaters/blankets. It was nice meeting everybody! (and good to see the old timers come out)

Wonderful turnout. It was really nice to meet some new members and share some different foods :) Too bad it was the one day the weather was cool and overcast, we still had a great time.

Reminder: Don't forget to bring plates, cups and utensils to share, or for yourself. I"ll be bringing a few reusable plastic plates.

Location is still the same. Look for a Red Stroller in that area, and a red and white checkered picnic blanket.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
