Visit to Wotruba church and walk in the Lainzer Tierpark

Some of you have expressed in interest in seeing the Wotruba church, a modern church designed by the Viennese sculptor Wotruba ( I thought we might combine such a visit with a walk in the Lainzer Tierpark.

From the Wotruba church we will walk through the woods until we reach the Gütenbachtor, one of the gates to the Lainzer Tierpark. From there we will walk through the Lainzer Tierpark to the Lainzer Tor, where we can talk public transport.

The walk is 13,5 kilometres in length, so it will take roughly 3 hours. It goes a little uphill and a little downhill but not too much. The highest point of altitude is 471m, the lowest approximately 280m.

Please wear good shoes and bring something to drink and perhaps a little snack. There is a restaurant on the way where we can have a drink if we like.

We are meeting at Maurer Hauptplatz at the bus stop of Bus 60A (which we will take to go up to the Wotruba church).

If the weather is bad, I'll postpone the meetup to the Sunday after.

If anyone is interested, I can send them the track of the walk they can open in Google Earth.

That's quite ok. No worries. You can also just visit the Wotruba church. If the weather stays as hot, we might have to reconsider the walk anyway.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
