Announcing a new Meetup for Internationals in Wien!
What: The Third Man - Open Air @ Kino unter Sternen @ Karlsplatz
When: Wednesday, July 21,[masked]:00 PM
Where: We should meet at Karlsplatz, under the trees opposite the entrance to the Kunsthalle (glass box on the grass that doubles as a bar, you can't miss it).
OK, so the idea is that first we go see the movie at the open air event for free and then on the Saturday afterwards I'll schedule the Sewer Tour and we can go for drinks/food after.
We should meet at Karlsplatz, under the trees opposite the entrance to the Kunsthalle (glass box on the grass that doubles as a bar, you can't miss it). Better be early to get seats I guess, so 8.00pm.
Below is the terrible but very amusing English translation about the movie/event taken direct from their website:http://www.afterimage.at/

THE THIRD MAN
UK 1949th Director: Carol Reed. With Joseph Cotten, Alida Valli, Orson Welles, Trevor Howard, Ernst German, Siegfried Breuer, Erich Ponto. 104 min OmdU
Vienna after the war, a playground for Fiend, gate, house master. Is here that Holly Martins, an American Western magazine writer, in search of Harry Lime, an old friend from happier days - and unwittingly stumbles a criminal case into acute life-threatening. Finishing everything on "The Third Man" is perfect: the direction of Carol Reed, the script by Graham Greene, the oblique camera work by Robert Krasker, the zither melody of Anton Karas, and, not to mention performers. Even the ruins of Vienna play their role perfectly.
