Thanks for that David. Everything was very well organised and it was a great lecture. I feel lucky to have been able to attend.

Alan Bond was a truly excellent and patient speaker. The talk was very interesting and covered lots of ground so that even my non-technical mind didn't feel too overwhelmed.

PS - sorry to sound like a spammer. My email address is [masked] - if an event is full please do register and it is normal for 10% to cancel within a week, so there is a pretty good chance you'll get a place. And if something is extremely popular, we'll almost definitely move to a bigger room.

    Hi All,

Thanks to everyone who came along last night - it was an excellent lecture and I personally thought that Alan was an exceptional speaker.

I am the IET member of staff responsible for the lecture (along with a number of IET volunteer) and I have just discovered this website. I thought it might be sensible for me to make contact as we run a number of free activities each year in satellites and space.

Fascinating to hear Alan Bond's update on Skylon. He's a open and engaging speaker, and he discloses as much as he can.

Skylon is a potential game-changer, that could open up the space frontier. Let's hope he gets the funding he needs to move forward.

Well I've already been moved from the waiting list to having a place and so it's worth signing up to the waiting list on https://localevents.theiet.org/register.php?event=87b111 Dave

I really wanted to attend this but I don't live in London. Will it be videocast? Or recorded?

(Very annoying really seeing as Skylon is being developed just down the road from me!)
