I feel a bit out of my depth here. I haven't been to any other planets. I'm mainly a naturalist with an Economics/Politics degree. What more could you possibly want to know. I'm a humanist too?
How could anyone not be interested in space flight? Okay, I'm a naturalist, it could be pretty boring out there. How many light years is it to the next organism?
I found the first specimen of Deraeocoris flavilinea in Britain. You did ask! Is it a crimne not to be interesting?
We would like to invite you to GlobalNet21 where we discuss some of the big issues of the 21st century.
You can find us at http://www.meetup.com/21stCenturyNetw...
We have held many meetings (some in the House of Commons) and have a full program of events that are running including meetings & also global online Webinars and podcasts. We also engage with decision makers to achieve positive outcomes.
Thanks for leading the trek to the shelter this evening David! It was lovely to meet you all and I was sorry to run off so quickly afterwards - I caught the train! See you soon, best wishes Carol
I am sorry I cannot attend the event on December 5th. I have posted a donation and completed Gift Aid form to Shelter From The Storm. I hope this initiative will eventually be rolled out nation-wide as a secular alternative to the Trussell Trust inspired food banks and homeless shelters. I hope SFTS will work with Chris Worfolk in Leeds to extend secular provision in place of religiously-inspired provision. We should all be asking why this is happening in the world's sixth wealthiest country
Hi Steve, I noticed the exchange between you & Steve Clapman re the lecture that you missed, epigenetics I think. If you hear of any other such lectures perhaps you'd let me know. See you in November if not before. Kristin
Dear David, I am very sorry I was not able to go on your walk yesterday - especially as it was in my locality. I would love to take part in activities like this, and to meet some other humanists. Can you organise another walk soon (North East London/lea Valley/Epping would be excellent!) Thank you, Claire Shannon
It will be great if you can make it next Sunday. Quite a few of the Hampstead Humanists are coming along - at least they say they will but we never know for sure because most of our members are not on Meetup and only read our newsletter. As stated, I shall be at Bethnal Green Tube at noon and, hopefully, get to Sutton House by 12.30.
I've heard that the weather is going to be great for the picnic tomorrow. If you let me have your mobile number, I shall certainly try to call you to see how things are coming along. I shall be in the Belsize Park area until about 3:30pm. I shall join you all then if you think that you will still be there for a while longer. With best wishes, Ada
Hi David - I see you're doing a survey for a picnic in July and are asking whether a Wednesday or a Saturday is a better day for people. I'd love to come but couldn't complete the survey because I can only do two of the possible dates in July - either Wed. 28th July or Sat 31st July. It will be great if these are ideal dates for you and others, but I guess that's wishful thinking.
See you soon
