After finding web sites about introversion and reading the posts on those sites, I felt like I had found a new home. I finally found others who lived with an introverted temperment and they were sharing their experiences and wisdom with each other online. Now I want to find a group of introverts offline to share this experience with.
While we generally prefer more down time between obligations than most people, we do like to get out and interact. In this group you don't need to worry if you're no good at making small talk, or not even able to stay for the whole gathering, since most of us know what that's like. I just want to create a place where we can get together and not feel overwelmed or out of place, with people who understand the introverted side of our temperment. What we do at our gatherings will be up to the group (deep discussion, hiking, bowling, art show, etc.). So, if you identify with the introverted lifestyle and want to meet others who are the same, you are more than welcome to join the group.
This is an open group where any member can schedule a meetup any time they wish, though there will be a few restrictions:
1) Obviously, nothing illegal.
2) No strip clubs or swingers partys
3) No "investment opportunity" seminars, or other types of sales pitches.
4) If the meetup you plan on scheduling is in conjunction with another group of any kind, let us know what group that is and include a relevant link so people can do some research before hand.
(If you were hoping to find introverts to do any of the first three things with, I would suggest you get to know some of them personally to see if they're interested. We just won't be doing these things as an official group.)
