IoT and ubiquitous computing

(UPDATE: Rob van Kranenburg's talk has been postponed to February)

Petri Saarikko is a ubiquitous interaction designer. Petri will present Opend, a Finnish smart space design practice focused on embedded information appliances and services for public and private spaces, and a spin-off from the MIDE 4D-Space project, a research program on digitalisation and energy technology at the Aalto University.

Christian Glahn from the International Relations and Security Network (ISN), a center of competence for Swiss and international security policy at ETH Zürich, will present his work to enhance mobile app based learning through the integration of headless systems (things).

Christoph Wartmann is the founder of EmbeddedLab, which originated as an open group of researchers and students at CAAD/ETH Zürich. They build novel wireless sensor networks applications ranging from airflow monitoring in sails to instrumenting rowing boats, paragliders and falling rocks, as well as interactive indoor installations.

The personalities the presentations and the subsequent open brainstorming sessions were extremely interesting. I believe that you can find in such events product ideas and project partners. (for Sensors, Hardware and Software) Thank you - and see you [masked]
