Meet up #5 - Making "Connected" Things

  • May 7, 2014 · 6:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This Iot Midlands meet-up is joining forces with another of WMG's industry networks - the PIN "Polymer Innovation Network".

By bringing together makers, developers and innovators in both groups, the event will lead to a number of interesting business opportunities and highlight just what is possible in terms of connecting products and services to the Internet. The agenda focusses on the technologies and processes required to make a static product more functional.

The agenda is getting firmed up and will include a presentation from WMG's head of Additive Layer Manufacturing Dr Greg Gibbons as well as manufacturers in the region.

You must register for a place via: https://polymerinnovationhome.eventbrite.co.uk NOT via meet-up. This will be a popular event so places are limited.

Just joined, so let me introduce myself. I am Ivan Wilson and from an SME called Embed Limited on the University of Warwick Science Park. To give you a flavour of what we do at Embed, we develop systems to go into vehicles. Past projects have been complex telematics systems, vision recognition systems, Bluetooth Connectivity, Smartphone and Car integration systems plus projects on electric vehicles. I am looking forward to the meet-up where I hope to talk to many of you.

Yes picked that up, got the eventbrite ticket. will only be there for the evening though. Is it the same building as the last meet?

Thanks John - It's only an evening event - I have updated EventBrite, we ran a day time event for the Polymer network in Feb (hence why there may be some confusion). Yes we will be in the IIPSI building again, further details will be sent out soon.

Me too - already booked via the Eventbrite link for the Meet-Up evening element: a great idea to bring together different groups for inspiration!
