Important Advisory

Just another heads up!

Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader are suffering from a major vulnerability.

Symantec notes that they have seen targeted attacks against governments, large enterprises, and financial services organizations. It’s only a matter of time before these attacks are directed against small businesses and home users. You can read more about this vulnerability at The Washington Post.

Adobe is scrambling to release a security patch, but until then I’ve written a script to protect users. You can download it from our website. This script will disable Javascript inside of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

Meyer Technology Group managed services clients will have this automatically installed on all of their systems today, Monday 2/23 at 5PM.

Please feel free to e-mail me or call me with any questions, or to forward this script along.

Sincerely,

Ryan Meyer
