The 2010 Class of the Small Business Administration’s “Emerging 200 Program (e200) held graduation ceremonies last week. This is the third year Des Moines has participated in the SBA initiative. The goal of e200 is to identify inner-city businesses across the country that show a high potential for growth and to provide them the network, resources, and motivation required to build a substantial business within a designated inner-city geographic location.

The cornerstone of the e200 program in Des Moines is an in-depth, 80-hour educational program, which ran April through October 2010, focusing on topics such as organization management, growth strategies and management, market development, and strategic planning.
