Hack on code and hardware!

It's almost the 3rd Sunday of the month again, so that means it's time for another OpenHack meetup!  Any software or hardware projects are fair game -- bring whatever you'd like to work on.  Looking for something?  Pick an open source project of your choice, and give back!

Like normal, we'll start with introductions where attendees can say a few words about themselves and what they're planning to work on.  As always, if anyone would like to bring food or drinks to share, it's very appreciated!

I finally entered the world of Raspberry Pi owners! I'll bring it down and talk about how I got it set up with Arch linux and only and SSH connection.

Assuming work doesn't get in the way this month again, of course.

Sounds great, Kevin! We have a number of people in the community interested in RasPi. I'll be interested in hearing how you're using it.

I'm disappointed that I can't come this week. But, I just recently acquired a bus pirate and have been poking around all the chips and ICs I can get my hands on. If anyone is interested, I would like to put together a little demonstration to address topics like.. what is a computer chip (I'm an english major), how do you know what a chip is doing, what is a chip good for, how do you program it (AVR, etc). Those kinds of things. The final product could be a sort of tech outreach to local schools or just a basic primer for us to fall back on when new people come to the meet up and want something to get their hands on in order to better understand the details.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
