The Irish in Europe Association celebrate its Foundation Day in January as it was in January 2009 when its Saint Patrick's Day Parade of the Nations & Regions Committee met for the first time.

The Parade is a multicultural opportunity to bring families and community organisations together at one big event, to get to know new comers and to make new friends and bridge the cultural divide with other communities.

Please let us know if you would like to join our volunteer committees to help to organise the sixth Parade (Sunday March 16),  and our cultural and micro integration events. Persons of all nationalities are welcome to join working groups.

In parallel to the Parade celebrations we will have our annual two month Irish in Europe Art & Photo Exhibition and also Irish in Europe Cultural Exchange Program between Belgium and Ireland.

Nominations for the Parade Grand Marshal are now being accepted .An Irish  person or member of the Irish Diaspora who has made an outstanding contribution to civic society in Belgium, Ireland or Europe, or to Irish Culture, or to the well-being of the Irish Diaspora in Europe would be eligible for nomination. Also eligible would be any Irish person who has played a major scientific, entrepreneurial, humanitarian or peace-keeping role in the world.  If you would like to nominate person, please contact nomination committee at [masked]
