Job: Guest Chef Responsible to: Volunteer Coordinator Time Commitment: ~ 5 hours per occasion, (including preparation time) Schedule: Arrive as needed to serve dinner at 6pm sharp. Date 2/5/12 Location: Shelter’s volunteer kitchen Description: Prepare a well-rounded, nutritious meal of your choice for Shelter residents (40 people). Helpful Information: • Dinner will be prepared on site • A resident helper will be assigned to assist as needed. • Kitchen is fully-equipped. Large pots, pans, bowls, and serving utensils are available. • Shelter provides plates, eating utensils, and napkins. • Beverages are optional. Bottled water is best. • As part of a balanced dietary program, fruit, vegetables and lean proteins are of the most benefit to our residents. • All volunteers are encouraged to introduce themselves to residents and spend time getting to know them. Volunteers are invited to sit and eat with the residents • The best guest chefs are friendly, reliable, outgoing, and creative with food!
