Surya Kriya is a potent yogic practice of tremendous antiquity designed as a holistic process for health, wellness, and complete inner well-being.  "Surya" means sun, and "Kriya" means "inner energy process."  Surya Kriya activates the solar plexus within the system and balances a person's energies leading to stability of the body and stillness of the mind.  This strong foundation becomes the basis to explore higher dimensions of life.

About Yogasanas

The word asana literally means a posture. Out of the innumerable asanas a body can take, 84 have been identified as Yogasanas through which one can transform the body and mind into a great possibility for ultimate wellbeing. Yogasanas are not exercices, rather very subtle processes to manipulate one’s energy in a particular direction.

Body is a constant manifestation of various levels of compulsiveness, and so by consciously getting the body into a certain posture and making it a conducive passage, one can elevate his consciousness. Yogasanas are a way of aligning the inner system and adjusting it to the celestial geometry, becoming in sync with the existence, and thus naturally achieving a chemistry of healthfulness, joyfulness and blissfulness, and above all balance.

(Please note we are bringing in a trained classical Yoga instructor to deliver this course. Isha Foundation is a non-profit, but registration fees goto covering the costs of the program)

  • It is mandatory to attend all the sessions (2 for Surya Kriya and 4 for Yogasanas)
  • Class size is limited.
  • Please bring your yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothes for yoga.

      Hi Verka, at this point in time the program is going ahead and are already half-filled. We would really like to fill the class in order for it to be as economical as possible for the teacher coming all this way.

      Hi Sharon, as we are flying in a teacher from Toronto to deliver this program the costs are: Surya Kriya: $85; Yogasanas $205; sign up for both: $255. In the future we will offer a free Isha Kriya meditation session, however we don't know when we will be able to bring a teacher back to deliver this program here. Also, once you learn these steps, you can do them on your own from anywhere.
