Networking and Informative Event

Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute (map)

Selected By: Arlene Marom

We cordially invite you to our first event, which will be held at 6 PM on Monday, January 19th, at the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute.

The meeting is being sponsored by the Export Institute and Sun Microsystems.

A presentation will be made by Geva Kra-Oz, who will speak about the importance of creating a story for your company - how to do it, what to include, and how to present it – in order to generate the drama and excitement that will make you unforgettable … and significantly improve your chances of being funded.

Geva’s expertise is focused on New Media - both Internet and Mobile. He has extensive knowledge of online content, communities, marketing and Internet technologies. His wide-ranging professional experience began in the mid-90’s when he worked at IDF Radio as Chief Editor of ‘Good Morning Israel’, and as the Sports Editor. As a freelance online content editor, Geva advised Israel’s leading food portal, was a News Editor for Maariv, and worked as the Chief Editor for Netex, a leading Israeli search engine. Following that, he spent several years as Senior Editor at Ynet, helping to create the News department, and writing a column about New Media. He was a lecturer at the Koteret School for Journalism, and most recently, was the Chief Editor at Logiamobile, responsible for all mobile and Internet content. Geva also led and edited Cellcom’s WAP portal and created the company’s label - Israel’s first digital music label.

Today, Geva works as a private consultant for startups and investors.

A short presentation will be made by Jordan Chanofsky - a PR expert from the US - who will speak about Developing PR Campaigns in the US.

Jordan - a 20-year veteran of the high tech marketing community - is the founder of FusionPR (Fusion), a very successful tech PR firm with 50 people in the US and UK. Combining a scientific and business background, his smart and creative marketing approach has proven successful for tech companies of all sizes and categories. Prior to FusionPR, Jordan was an architect of one of the world’s largest tech agencies, TSI Communications, which was acquired by IPG/McCann Erickson WorldGroup. During his tenure with TSI, Jordan supported scores of high tech and consumer electronics companies for the largest internationals and most exciting startups. His clients have included hundreds of high tech startups in areas such as enterprise software, servers, networking, mobile and wireless, semiconductor, consumer electronics, digital lifestyle, medical technologies, online properties and applications, etc.

He has worked with diverse Israeli companies such as Comverse Communications, Scitex, N-trig, Epos and Dune. He has also worked with global powerhouses like Panasonic, Lucent, Pantech, Sony, IBM, Ericsson, Reed Elsevier, Siemens, Verizon/Nynex and Reuters.
