Italian Conversation Hour: Parliamo Italiano!

Buongiorno a tutti!

Venite a praticare la vostra conoscenza della lingua italiana! Questo incontro e' aperto a studenti di tutti i livelli. Se volete parlare, bene. Altrimenti, venite per socializzare e praticare l'ascolto. Vi aspettiamo!

Come practice your Italian speaking skills! This is a casual, non-structured gathering for students of all levels. If you'd like to join in on the conversation, speak up! If you don't, then just come for Whole Food's delicious treats, socialize and practice your listening and comprehension abilities.

This gathering is not a class, just come to practice and enjoy the company of students who are as eager to learn as you are. Share thoughts about current events in Italy, the Italian culture, and history.

Buon divertimento!

WHEN: 2nd Wednesday of every month.
WHERE: Whole Foods Market - Upstairs Food Court (South Park location)
HOW TO FIND US: Look for a group of people who are speaking Italian. If you're the first one there, please find a table large enough to fit 6 people, in the upstairs food court.
NOTE: This gathering does not have a specific host and may be attended by different people on different occasions. Nada Vergili's attendance should not be expected.
CHANGE OF PLANS? To avoid no-shows, please make sure to RSVP only if you're planning on showing up. And if your plans change, please update your RSVP to No. We do not tolerate no-shows as it's very disrespectful towards your fellow members. Thank you for understanding.

Oh!!! I should have checked food court before I left. Since we met above wine bar last time I thought we were meeting at the same place. My fault.

I practice on the "Duolingo" app on my phone. It is free and is favoloso!

At this meet up, it is difficult to engage in language instruction. It is more of a social event that is centered around speaking in Italian. Of course everyone is at a different level. Beginners listen and practice a few sentences, this is all depending on your knowledge and level. Usually, there are all levels at a meet up. I suggest that you find a private instructor or take a class to get started (tapes/CD's or the internet are ways to get going). If you have the budget, the Carolina Language Academy is something that you might try. Anyway you should go to a meet up no matter what your level is to begin your training.
    I hope this helps....... :o)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
