Tuscan Coast towns , Rome, SP
Because of an improved economy and extremely busy year for my company I was not able to put together a May trip to Italy as I had wished too. However, to counter that I am going to put together a Tuscan coast trip that will end in Rome in Sept. this year. It will be at least 10 full days (not counting the 2 traveling days - 1 day you need to get there and the one to get home).
This trip could also easily be a 14 day trip if enough people are interested.
I intend to involve either Cinque Terre and hopefully the Island of Elba for the first 7 days and then off to Rome for the next 3. If it becomes a 14 day trip then I would like to include Florence after our 7 day coastal stay for 4 days and then put Rome on the tail end of it for the last 3.
The accommodations should be in the neighborhood of $[masked] - $[masked] per day per person. The areas we will be in will all be first class and close to many sights and points of interest. Note: We will be staying in apartments and to keep accommodation costs down there is a 50% chance you may have to share a bedroom with 2 beds in it. Private rooms may be available but only at an additional cost TBD but can be as much as 50% more per day. All King or queen sized rooms will be designated to couples first (either couples or single friends who don't mind sharing a bed). All other double unit rooms (2 beds) will be designated to friends traveling together or travelers who don't mind sharing a room. There may also be pull out sofa beds available for those who will accept that sleeping arrangement. There are usually multiple bathrooms (at least 2 or more) in apartments but once in awhile only one (those are also usually smaller group apartments sleeping only 4 or so people. Remember renting apartments in high priced hotel areas that are close to everything saves a lo of accommodation costs which is the biggest cost of any trip. Even 2 star hotels in great city areas go for[masked] euro per night. That was euro for hotels, not dollar...our apartment costs are in dollars
Airfare will be your responsibility.
The trip will most likely be limited to 8 - 12 people. You can bring a guest if you prefer but their cost will be the same. It is also an autonomous trip (you are free to go about as you like or join part or all of the group as we find things to explore).
We rent apartments to save on costs of course but to also experience the feeling of living there too.
Sometimes a hotel can be involved for accommodations and part of the trip.
So, I need a head count of who might be interested?
We will have a Meet & Greet after I see how many people are interested and then you can decide if you wish to commit to the trip.
So please don't waste time, let me know ASAP and I can start formatting an exciting trip for a small group of like minded people.
