I studied interior design prior to switching over to informatics. From my interior design experience I gained a design foundation with skills to communicate the design process through analog and digital methods. I have some HCI experience from an informatics course I have taken. My work position at the university allows for design work relating to print and digital media.
I have recollections from early childhood of often questioning how things work. I often acted on my curiosity and took things apart. I often visualize how things can better designed for use/re-use/appeal, be it simple everyday use items to more complex things. I say that my official association with design started about four years ago.
industrial/product design, interior design, automotive design, new and developing technologies, human computer interactions, social informatics
I am continuing content development, deployment, and expansion of digital signage at my work place, redesigning work environment print signage, and developing methods to effectively serve students.
Network with other design and tech oriented individuals and learn about others' experience and development of their design language.
I am an undergraduate informatics student with a focus in human centered computing. I have experience in interior design with skills in digital media and visualization. I am interested in pursuing a design focused masters program possibly in HCI.
