Re: Jam Oslo, Oslo Kommune og IKT Norge søker UX'ere til workshop!

Short version:

On March 1st-3rd Global Service Jam is held for the third time in cities all over the world, including Oslo. Come and design a completely new service along with other dedicated people! The result is shown in multiple design environments worldwide. It is not necessary to know anything about service design to be - there will be an introduction on the spot. The most important thing to bring is interest and creative openness! There are still spaces left!

We will meet on Friday the 1st of March at 1700 at EGGS design at Akersgata 7. After mingling a bit we get the task from the central jam-office in India. Then we run a brainstorm and decide which concept ideas we will develop further. Saturday and Sunday we are working on detailing and prototyping of delivery. We can create video, graphics, animation or whatever we think communicate the new service best to the rest of the world.

Sunday at 1500 we will submit the results and can eventually check out the other jammers' work.

Some testimonials from previous participants:

"I did not know what to expect from the workshop in advance, but the weekend turned out to be the most fun and energetic workshops I've been attending. First if all it was well hosted, the topic was presented in an inspiring way, the teams were well organized and no one were left out. I met amazing, inspiring and pasionate people from different disiplins and many different countries. Don't hesitate - go for the jam!!!" Maren, designer

"Are you an engineer? a designer? a marketing guy? a business analyst? a politician? a social media strategist? VP of product development? or a full time mom? Okay then, now forget these boxes. You are curious, you are playful, you are creative, so get out there and do something GOOD! Think, talk, brainstorm, draw, erase, argue, present and meet some amazing people in this 48 hour pressure cooker. And watch out, its serious!" Adam, IT-utvikler

"I have never been so exited and passionate about an idea (not even in the university to be honest) like the one that my group developed, i am still convinced that our idea is perfect, many companies will buy it and it will definitely work in reality!! The event was completely over my expectations from the moment i came to Design it to the moment i left AHO that sunday." Marcela, Designer

See you, right??

The Oslo JAM team

PS: We do have ONE requirement for our participants, and that is commitment and presence (ok, I guess that were two..) during the weekend. This is to ensure that all teams can work fully and continuously throughout the 48 hours. This does not mean being there 48 hours straight (we wouldn't want that either), but being with your group when the group has decided to work. This is usually Friday night, all Saturday and half of Sunday.
