IxD Session: Wireframes considered harmful

Wireframes have become one of the best-loved utensils in the UX designer’s toolbox. As Tom will argue, they have also become misused, fetishised and counterproductive. In this provocative short talk, he will argue that wireframes do more harm than good and should be avoided wherever possible. Aiming to provoke a healthy discussion, Tom will propose an alternative approach to UXD.

This session is for anyone who’s ever put an X through a box on paper.

Tom Voirol is the global head of user experience for digital consultancy Reading Room. He’s been making websites since before tables and has forgotten most of it by now.
