Love Berry Vol.6 Yasuyo’s Birthday Event! Event Start time: TBA

Remember Tsubasa's great birthday party?!?!? Well now it's Yasuyo's turn!!!!! We all had such a great time then that this show promises to be great as well :) .

Bulletin 11/30/08: The NEW Sakura Madams will be playing that night! That's right, meet Yuka while the band performs a special acoustic set preview of their new CD to be released in 2009!

Special Note: This is one of the last shows our meetup will ever go to at the Knitting Factory's Manhattan venue location. We'll say goodbye to this venerable site in the best possible way with our honki friends from all over the J-Rock NYC area!

Naturally everyone had a good time. The new incarnation of Sakura Madams was exceptional. Love Etc left me in tears (yeah, I'm not too macho to admit it.) Thanks to everyone for making Jean Ju welcome. She is my new co-worker and friend. Of all the people I work with (Asian and otherwise) she is the only person to come and join me to see how wonderful our meet-up shows are. Thanks to John, Tsubasa, Hayden, Tony and Ryoko for doing the same.

Totally no way I'd ever even think of missing this show!!!!! This band has more cross-meetup group appeal than any of J-Rock NYC's favorite bands. My wife's never seen 'em live yet, but she totally digs the audio & video I play of them :) . Note: This will be one of the last shows held at The Knitting Factory Manhattan! They'll be moving to Brooklyn shortly after - so go see these gals before this well-loved venue recedes into history :)

Great show! The Knitting Factory will be missed. :(

I was never so moved by a Love Etc performance as to see Yasuyo's touching reaction to the band singing her praises as her friend Mariko brought to the stage her birthday cake. Air Row is a great duo and made for a great opening act. Hide and Jones was alot of fun and an easy listening experience. The Sakura Madams sound great with their new singer/guitar player Yuka. Anna Copa Cabanna & The MG 5 kicked out the jams with great legs and great presence. Many J-Rock NYC'ers came to the show as did some of our favorite musicians, including Tony & Ryoko of Echostream and Jun of Gelatine. Many pictures were taken by me & more by A.O. Zimko & they'll be uploaded here & to our MySpace pages shortly :) .
    • Was a wonderful time, and the love shown warmed my heart.
