Introduction
J-Rock was part of my vocabulary long before the term was coined. Indie records like Sub-Pop, Estrus and Sympathy For The Record Industry introduced me to The 5,6,78's, Supersnazz, and Teengenerate. Karaterice led me to the rest. Now it's up to you.
What would you most like to see a j-culture meetup group do?
I would be interested in taking a guided tour through China and Japan, but it's hard enough getting everyone through the front door at the same time.
What are your favorite j-culture events?
Local restaurants and shows do it for me.
What are your favorite j-bands?
Sato and Jonny, The 5,6,7,8's, Love ETC, Sakura Madams, Gelatine, Noodles, Gito Gito Hustler, Jet Boys Peelander-Z and my good friends of Uzuhi. Also a shout out to Goodnight Electric and Sheena and the Rokkets.
