Playing as part of the world-renowned Edgefest Concert in Ann Arbor, the Michael Formanek Quartet is one of the leading avant-garde jazz groups in the country. Michael on bass has played with many greats over the past three decades including Stan Getz and Freddie Hubbard. Jacob Sacks on piano is regarded as one of the most creative jazz artists on the New York scene today. Dan Weiss on drums has one of the most unique sounds in jazz, combining jazz and East Indian rhythms.
