My love of jazz began at the age of 8 listening to my mom's lp's of Dinah Washington, Yma Sumac, Oscar Peterson, Nina Simone and others on the stereo in the Westside home we shared with my grandparents. Many years, lp's and cd's, concerts and jazz club performances later, this music still colors my world. Now, I am looking to jazz as a way to help expand my world.
Call me an enthusiast.
Greetings. I am a life-long Detroiter, educator, and believer in the basic goodness of people. At this age and stage of life, I am stepping out to embrace new experiences -- to live life more fully present and open to possibility.
