Artist Statement:
Being Black is not a color it’s a choice, it’s a state of being. Now my skin color is Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Brown.
My Ethnicity is American, an African in America. My gifts and calling come without repentance. I am a Minister by calling, for those of you that don’t know the calling came from God. My Gift of Art came from God. Being Black came from an attitude within, it’s also Strength, Unknown, Deep, Desired, Persecuted, Envied, Hated, Loved, also all the colors combined. So me being Black, is from within, a desire to be. Also my Mother and Father are Black from within. So it’s by popular demand that I am what I am.
That’s BLACK.
The Medium that I displaying is a mixed medium, at this time consisting of water color, pen, ink and acrylic. I am in hopes that you also will enjoy as much as I did in painting them.
Current exhibits are available for viewing Monday – Friday from 9:30 am to 5 pm, during public concerts and by appointment. For more information or to make an appointment, call[masked]-2999.

Here is a chance to hear some of the area's most beloved professional musicians/ teachers do just that! This concert is tailored to appeal to ages 7-12 and their parents.

“Turning the neighborhood into a hotbed of pleasure” —The New York Times
Few artists defined a generation quite like the songwriters Sammy Cahn & James Van Heusen. Together with the stars who sang their songs – Sinatra, Bing, Ella-- their music was the soundtrack for the cultural  shift between the romance & heart of  World War II and the  ring-a-ding-ding jubilation that followed. Winners of 5 Oscars, Cahn & Van  Heusen's tunes continue to inspire artists as diverse as Michael Buble & Twyla Tharp.
Joining Eric and Barbara on this romantic, swinging journey will be guitar star, and Ann Arbor native, Randy Napoleon.

"Fire in velvet. A fitting description of Joshua Breakstone's jazz guitar," wrote Paul Weidman in The Sante Fe New Mexican. "His flowing lines on up-tempo cookers are impeccably clean and fiery, bearing the mark of a first-rate improviser, while his chordal work on heartbreaker ballads is the final word in finesse," has raved Guitar Player magazine. Japan's Jazz Hihyo (aka Jazz Critique) recognizes that "The style in which Joshua develops his fluid single-note solos used to be thought of as the Grant Green school, but now this man leads the school." Downbeat also has written that "There is no shortage of young, knock-out jazz guitarists about us these days. And Joshua Breakstone is among the best of them."
