Subject: Greater Detroit Jazz Society Jazz-o-Gram: Live Jazz the Week of February 25, 2014

Dear Jazz Fans,

Here's a note from Gabby Rosolino requesting help for his son who is an MS patient. I am forwarding this knowing that Gabby has many friends on this mailing list and that jazz lovers are the most generous people in the world. From: Gasper Rosolino <[address removed]>, http://igg.me/p/649810    "Hi, This is Gabby Rosolino letting you know about my son Gary who has MS and needs all the help he can get to help him get medical supplies and treatment that his Insurance will not cover. If you click on the link above you can read about all the pain and suffering he is going through. I hope you can help him out. Thank you."

Congratulations to Scott Gwinnell on his marriage to Delaine! If you want to say congrats in person, come join me and the 16-piece Scott Gwinnell Jazz Orchestra for a Cliff Bells performance THIS THURSDAY (2/27) from 8:30-11pm. There is a small cover charge for performances at Cliff Bells. Also, there is one month left to qualify for Early Bird Tuition discount (15% off) to join the Metro-Detroit Jazz Workshop. If you play an instrument or sing, with any experience level or age (over 10), consider taking part in the 6th annual workshop in July. If you are a parent or relative of a musician, pro, amateur, or student, no matter what instrument, this provides a week long exploration of jazz music, learning theory, improvisation, playing in groups, and ultimately performing a concert for family and friends at the end of the week. Go to the website for more info www.helpwithjazz.com

Now, you know that the only way to beat the cold weather blues is to get out and support some live, hot jazz. Go for it!

Sally and Bill
