Fwd: Greater Detroit Jazz Society Jazz-o-Gram: Live Jazz the Week of July 23, 2014

Dear Jazz Fans,

We need to say “KUDOS” to all who had anything to do with the Michigan Jazz Festival. We can’t remember seeing such a huge crowd of enthusiastic jazz fans. Every group was “out of this world” and we certainly couldn’t get to all of them. In a conversation with Joanie Schott on Monday (member of the board of directors) she estimated the attendance at about 70,000 people – not all at one time – but in and out. It was a great day for Detroit jazz and reminds us how much incredible talent we have in our area.

My jazz blast is late again this week … summer is almost in the way of my jazz …
