Meet, Greet, and Eat at Scooters before we Ride,
....so get there early if you want to get something to eat before we roll. We might not stop anywhere that serves food for a couple more hours.
Be ready for kickstands up any time after 12:30.
Completely laid back - no hurry, no worries, no rush, no fuss.
Depending on how many people show up, we might break into two or three smaller groups, each with a road captain familiar with the area. Ladies who ride will be the front group. We'll stop every once in a while to enjoy the scenery and tell our biker tales.
(RSVP that you are looking to ride as a passenger, or if you might be willing to take a passenger).
We'll ride back to Scooters afterwards, so if there is a single lady who doesn't have her own motorcycle, and wants to become friends with someone who would enjoy a passenger, this is probably for you. If you have a helmet, bring it, and dress for a ride. No guarantees there will be someone who lets you ride "two-up", but give it a shot. If you don't catch a ride, at least you'll meet with some good folks at Scooters. As with all our rides, all participants agree to ride responsibly and not hold anyone else, including ride organizer and other participants, liable. Motorcycling is inherently dangerous. We ride in staggered formation, and switch to a single line formation when situation or road conditions call for it.
Scooters will have live music and comedy entertainment by Neal D Bluesman at 6pm for all who stick around.
The weather forecast calls for storms later, so depending on what is happening in the sky, we may have to shorten the ride.

So far, here is one proposed Ride Map, which I call the Hanging Man Run. By the time Saturday rolls around, we might change the ride a little but, but we will stay in that general area. If necessary, we can "pick up stragglers" in Wake Forest, Durham, and Creedmore.
I don't know if the NC state park system will be charging for entrance. Supposedly they start charging after Memorial Day. Just in case they are, you might want to bring $5/per bike with you. It should get you a day pass for entrance to all the best areas. I'll try and find out more.
It was a very great ride and hope to do another one soon like this. Well organized Thanks Jan Met some great people on this ride. Very nice group made the new comers feel very welcomed.
well, we finally had a great turnout for this ride. Hope to schedule more rides like this as long as we get the turnout we had for this past ride......Gary
