JBoss Forge - Introduction and Addon development

This is a session that introduces JBoss Forge. It then progresses onto developing Forge addons to extend it's functionality. We'll demonstrate the development of a sample Forge addon.

Developing addons requires some knowledge of Furnace - the container for Forge that provides a modular runtime. It also requires some knowledge of APIs provided by Forge. All of these would be covered in the session.

Bringing a laptop is not necessary but recommended.

Got some some arrangement. Changing my RSVP. I would like to attend this. If possible, can we do it again too sometime later?

I might give a similar session (or at least one that introduces JBoss Forge) at JBug Chennai. I'm not sure if it's going to be streamed/recorded, but that is an option I'm exploring.

And oh, and as usual, slides would be shared. I'll try and make sure that the speaker notes convey enough information. The hands-on part would obviously not be contained within these notes.
