Common Core in Wisconsin – An Evaluation

“Educational consultant Karen Schroeder will discuss Wisconsin’s implementation of Common Core Standards.  Parents should play a key role in making educational decisions for their children, but they need to be aware of the tools available to them to rein in an overzealous federal government, state department of education, and closed school boards,” noted Ms.Schroeder, President of Advocates for Academic Freedom. Ms.Schroeder will talk about empowerment of parents when itcomes to their children and in the curriculum decisions beingmade by local school boards. Among the first to bring facts about Common Core Standards to Wisconsinites and to our legislators, Ms. Schroeder has an MA degree in Special Education and has taught in public schools for 37 years. She serves on the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board and testifies before legislative bodies about educational issues. Thirty-eight publishers carry her articles. The public is welcome, donations are welcome.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
