BASIC SAIL TRIM

“SAIL TRIMMING - The process of adjusting the sails regularly to ensure that the boat is getting the right driving power.”

Where: In the classroom on Sunday 24th February

When: Starting at 1000 and running to 1500.

What: Peter Derviller will describe the theory and use of the controls with reference to our club's Martin 244’s. This clinic will concentrate on the upwind points of sail while the April 14th spinnaker clinic will focus on downwind sailing.

Why: These clinics will be of general interest to sailors and aspiring sailors and especially useful for members intending to participate in Friday Night Racing.

Thanks so much Peter - very good presentation. Once I got there I wish I had been on time to learn more. And it was nice to reconnect with some of the sailors.
